Mark Karch is responsible for leading Appature's commercial initiatives, including sales leadership and business development. As an experienced executive in the life science industry, Mark focuses on the development of strategic technology-based solutions with Appature's largest customers and partners. As a frequent speaker on the application of emerging technology to marketing solutions in the life science industry, Mark has provided strategic direction in the design, development and implementation of some of the industry's largest multichannel healthcare professional, consumer and patient relationship marketing programs. Mark was previously with Allscripts/Physicians Interactive, where he was executive vice president of pharmaceutical business, which included sales leadership and business development. He was responsible for the development of strategic initiatives surrounding alternative channel pharmaceutical selling models and a variety of technology-based solutions, which included digital marketing solutions (i.e., eCommunications, Mobile, Extensible Technology Platforms) and the leveraging of actionable Electronic Medical Records (EMR)/ ePrescribing (eRx) information.

Prior to Physicians Interactive, Mark was vice president of business development for the Patient Marketing Group (formally known as HealthAnswers/Hasting Healthcare Group), where he was responsible for the expansion of three business lines that included strategic consulting, communications and direct-to-patient/direct-to-consumer programs. Prior to Patient Marketing Group, Mark was vice president of marketing for Lexant, a division of Monsanto, where he managed all the marketing and sales efforts and helped organizations develop population-based health promotion and disease management, claims analysis and database resource optimization modeling. Mark earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree in health management from American University in Washington, D.C.
